It is perhaps time for a renovation.

I'm looking at my blog, this blog, and thinking that perhaps I ought to, well, change some things.Like the layout. It's been 4 years since I last changed it, and things are falling apart. The smileys have been there for ages. They gotta go.
I don't know if it's gonna work out, but I'll try. Will probably move my Daily Logs of Mundane Events to 750words, where it is perhaps more appropriate.
We shall see.

Back in Singapore!

Alright, it's been nice in Singapore so far!Uuuhhh... I suppose I've generally been playing minecraft the whole time. Yesterday with my brother and xiong when he stayed over, and today in the afternoon. Then I went out with dad for awhile.
Then, yea, that's basically it. Huh.
Ah, well yes I did get back all my results. They're generally okay except G&NS where I got a measly 51. JUST PASSED man. Wonder where I went wrong:/

No plan's the plan.

So today's my last day in Melbourne. Had a fantastic day yesterday. Just hung out with sokshin and yimei and went with the flow. The plan was to have no plan, and do whatever we wanted. It was great.Had bagels, and then flemington kebabs in the evening. Company was great, and the experience in general was awesome.
I haven't slept at all, and I'm started to take microsleeps. But I'm not driving so that's awesome:D Skybus ftw!
Alright, I ought to zip up my stuff and get ready to leave.
It's been an awesome, AWESOME year in Melbourne man. Lets hope it all ends off well in december!:)

Every Singaporean Son

Whoa!I was feeling nostalgic, right, and so I was checking out that Every Singaporean Son series on youtube. It's this webseries/documentary on a bunch of Orion recruits and their life in Tekong and stuff. Man, sure brought back memories.
Anyhow, I managed to do quite a bit of stuff today. Cleaned the place a bit, and patched my bike tyres. Also prepared tau yiu bak for dinner (Carine's awesome recipe), and it was decent enough. Stella prepared some awesome sesame ginger chicken. It was a good dinner, eaten over Dr. Who.
Huh! That's all I have to say now.

That's half a novel's draft down.

Yea well, for what it's worth:
And then, because I'm too lazy to type a new entry, here's what I wrote for today's 750words.
I managed to get up early-ish today. Ah, slept late last night cuz I was trying to get more words done before bedtime. And also because before that I was at Abraham's place with sokshin, and they both went off to meet Austin (Austen?) to discuss the plans for today's supposed bushwalk, which I unfortunately didn't attend thanks to NaNoWriMo commitments.
Argh, only 10 mnutes left and still about 550 words to go! Okay, gotta keep typing. No stress, just keep typing, and it'll all be alright.
But wah, today's fingers feel slow la. Then again, I've been typing all day, so my fingers are probably like, tired already. Still, gotta try.
Anyway, so I got up around 10am this morning. Sent out relevant smses to those involved that I wouldn't be going for the bushwalk after all.
I was supposed to start my typing early, but I got distracted by the Threadless sale that was going on during the weekend. And even though it was already 10am on tuesday, I think it was still early enough in the States or something, and so the sale was still on. And I decided that I ought to actually grab myself some tees, because $10 a tee is really a steal. And I'm gonna need more clothing for next year too. Might as well spend a bit of money now and not worry so much later yea?
So yea, I used up about an hour or so trying to pick some nice shirts that I would wear. Found a couple here and there, and got myself a hoodie too.
I started typing at 12.10pm. I had about 8.5k words to complete then, and for some reason I felt like I was gonna have an easy time doing those words.
I didn't.
Well, the first thousand or so words were okay, I suppose. But by the 4000th word I was kinda struggling.
No, that's probably not the best way to put it. I was struggling at certain parts that I found very hard to type. Like certain dialogue and stuff. Because I'm still not certain how and who my characters are. Like, what kind of people they are. I haven't decided on a strict personality for them because I didn't really have time to find a good one, and also because I wanted them to sorta develop themselves as the story progressed. And it sorta worked, because in the end, I actually had a good idea of how I want to make the female protagonist like.
So I kept on typing through the afternoon. I paused for lunch around 3pm-ish. Made some more fried rice, and decided to unload the big pack of food and condiments and other random kitchen stuff that Chanel left me (eh, thanks a lot yea!!). And I totally filled up the two empty pantry shelves that used to be Ineka's pantry space. That's quite a lot of stuff, man.
I went on typing through the evening. I had since decided that some parts that I wasn't so sure about, just skip first and get on with the story. And I realised that I was giving my sentences very little thought. So some of them probably come out very weird. I haven't reread them yet, but I get the feeling I'm going to cringe a bit when I eventually do hahaha. But that's okay, because my main goal was to reach the 50k mark.
And because, as you may already know, this novel is being written in a journal style, right. And so it's sorta separated in Days. And by the end of it, so far, I think it's on Day 27 or so. That's close to a month. And there was sort of a boss fight of sorts at the end too, even though I think my story is far from completion. There are still things for the protagonists to do, a greater mission out there.
But perhaps, I'll get back to that when I've more time to type.

I'm sorry to disappoint you but you probably won't be finding any links here. I kinda just put the "links" tab there to fill up space heh. And anyway yaaahhh I'm toolazy to go compile a reealll set of links and so...yeea. Maybe one day, but not now. And besides I nvr kept links since the diary-x days cuz that time it was supposed to be low profile and although there is no need for this one to remain low profile, I still don't feel like keeping links haha. Okay so where shall I start. Hmm.
Basically I'm a 19 year old serving my country as an NSman. As a Combat Engineer. In 30SCE. Which well, isn't exactly the best place on earth. And there aren't many places worse than here that I've been to so, yea. Can't wait for ORD.
Anyway previously I was studying in Trinity College in Melbourne. Life there's pretty much alright and I reaaallly missed the food and people and air back in Singapore. Not that it's really bad over there or anything, but it's just that it doesnt feel so homely see.
Yea anyway I studied in SJI (THE best sec sch) for 4 years (THE best years) and graduated in 2005 from class 403 (THE best class). Then I studied in CJC (THE best jc) as part of 1T25(THE best cj class) for the month of jan(THE best month). Before SJI I spent 6 years in JPS (THE best primary sch) and in THE best class of 6A 2001 (man sounds kinda long ago already..haha).
So there! That's my whole education history. Oh unless u include kindergarten, which started in SIS in hongkong (THE best kindergarten/pri sch there) where I spent 1.5 years and the remaining .5 years in the downstairs PAP education centre (not really THE best this time).
Anyway all those which I've said were THE best were indeed THE best because I'd nvr ever give up those experiences for anything else haha. For better or for worse man. I mean hey, I know it's kinda common sense la, cuz it's not really possible to 'give up experiences' but you get my point right. Right? No? Ah well too bad then.
I see this is more like some weird self-testimony as opposed to a profile. But heck it's my page so I do it the way I like:P.
